Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan (officially Republic of Uzbekistan) is a country in Central Asia, with its capital at Tashkent, and is home to roughly 36.4M people.
Its official languages are Russian, Uzbek; the currency in circulation is Uzbekistani soʻm (so'm); people from here are called Uzbekistani.

Uzbekistan touches five neighbours: Afghanistan to the south, Kazakhstan to the northeast, Kyrgyzstan to the east, Tajikistan to the southeast and Turkmenistan to the southwest. Directions run from one centre to the other.
Tashkent was a major Silk Road city, then largely rebuilt after a 1966 earthquake. Its metro stations are among the most ornate in the world.
