Tajikistan
Tajikistan (officially Republic of Tajikistan) is a country in Central Asia, with its capital at Dushanbe, and is home to roughly 10.6M people.
Its official languages are Russian, Tajik; the currency in circulation is Tajikistani somoni (ЅМ); people from here are called Tadzhik.

Tajikistan touches four neighbours: Afghanistan to the southwest, China to the east, Kyrgyzstan to the northeast and Uzbekistan to the northwest. Directions run from one centre to the other.
Dushanbe means 'Monday' in Tajik, because it grew from a village known for its Monday market.

The crown and seven stars stand for the Tajik people and for the sacredness of the number seven in their tradition. Red, white and green represent the state, cotton and agriculture.
