Daily Asia Flag Quiz
▸ABOUT THIS GAME
Today's mystery flag from Asia, the same one for every player until local midnight.
The widest range of anything on the site: the pack holds both the most populous countries on Earth and several of the smallest by land area, and outlines that run from a near-perfect rectangle to an archipelago of thousands of islands.
Central Asia is where this pack is won or lost. Five countries whose names all end the same way, with borders drawn in the 1920s that interlock in ways no other region matches.
The pool is the 48 countries of Asia, and the traps are measurable: ten of those flags have at least one near-duplicate elsewhere in the set, the closest pair being Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam. Proportions help more than people expect, 23 of the flags fly at 2:3, but there are eight distinct ratios in play, so an unusually long or unusually square flag has already narrowed itself down before you look at the colours.
One national flag, no caption. Name the country that flies it. Similar tricolours and Pacific ensigns are the usual trap, the distance readout on a wrong guess tells you which hemisphere you're wrong in. You get 6 guesses. Every wrong one returns the great-circle distance to the target, a compass direction pointing at it and a proximity percentage, so a cold start is recoverable, two well-spaced wrong guesses will usually bracket the answer.
Daily mode is one puzzle, drawn from a fixed schedule so that every player anywhere gets the same flag on the same date. It rotates at your local midnight. There is no retry and no reshuffle: six guesses, then the answer, then a share card recording how many it took. That constraint is the point, a streak you can't re-roll is worth something, and the pressure changes how you spend guess two. Progress and streaks are stored on your own device rather than an account, so clearing site data clears them. Full rules, including how the distance and compass hints are calculated, are on the how-to-play page. If you've already played today, endless mode has no limit.
