Poland
Poland (officially Republic of Poland) is a country in Central Europe, with its capital at Warsaw, and is home to roughly 36.6M people.
Polish is the official language; the currency in circulation is Polish złoty (zł); people from here are called Polish.

Poland touches seven neighbours: Belarus to the east, Czechia to the southwest, Germany to the west, Lithuania to the northeast, Russia to the northeast, Slovakia to the south and Ukraine to the east. Directions run from one centre to the other.
Warsaw was deliberately razed by German forces in 1944; around 85% of the city was destroyed. Its old town was rebuilt from paintings and photographs so faithfully that the reconstruction is itself a World Heritage site.
