Chad
Chad (officially Republic of Chad) is a country in Middle Africa, with its capital at N'Djamena, and is home to roughly 20.3M people.
Its official languages are Arabic, French; the currency in circulation is Central African CFA franc (Fr); people from here are called Chadian.

Chad straddles the Tropic of Cancer.
Chad touches six neighbours: Cameroon to the southwest, Central African Republic to the south, Libya to the north, Niger to the west, Nigeria to the southwest and Sudan to the east. Directions run from one centre to the other.
N'Djamena sits where the Chari and Logone rivers meet, near what remains of Lake Chad, and was called Fort-Lamy until 1973.
1,270,532 km² (490,555 sq mi), 20th largest of 198 countries and territories on file, almost exactly the size of Mali.
Population 20,299,123, 65th of 198 on file. That averages 16 per km² (41 per sq mi).
Nearly identical to Romania's: blue, yellow and red vertical bands, differing only in a slightly darker blue. Chad raised the matter at the UN in 2004 and both countries kept their flags.
Easily confused with Romania and Andorra.
